The magazines listed below have a LOT of information about electronic music. You can spend hours finding out the latest news about artists, events, new releases, and just about anything related to this off-the-beaten-track genre of music.

"A Journey into Sound and Spirit," this is Michael Foster's baby. His mission is to offer a place where those interested in ambient, new age, electronica, electronic, space, world and experimental music might come to and learn the latest news, read an interview with those who make the music, read reviews of classic and the latest music of the genre, and to find links to destinations all over the web. We wants Ambient Visions to become a resource for the community, offering links to the many other resources a musician or listener might need.

Phil Derby is both the Editor and the Publisher. He is well known as a long time reviewer and deserves your support.

E-dition was a hardcopy magazine published in the Netherlands in both English and Dutch editions. The reviewers included Bert Strolenberg, Paul Rijkens, Wouter Bessels, Andre de Waal, Menno von Brucken Fock, Hans Sijtsma, Brad Warner, Peter Stoeferle, Ron van de Goor, Brian Bieniowski plus several other people who wrote reviews for KLEM magazine. Every magazine had (at least) one FREE CD with unreleased tracks. Several famous artists have donated tracks.

Sadly, E-dition has gone the way of its predecessor, KLEM. Issue 16 was it's last. Back issues are still available in limited quantities.

From Norway, Glenn Folkvord assembles an amazing amount of information on a monthly basis; artist profiles, news, CD release announcements, archives of past issues, special features... A must visit site!

AmbiEntrance by David J Opdyke concentrates on artist interviews and CD reviews. Ambient, Electronic, and Experimental music genres are covered here. Essential reading!

Igloo is Pietro Da Sacco's online electronic music magazine for idm, electronic, experimental, ambient, glitch, techno, and other digital debris in between. This Canadian based e-zine features information on current releases, upcoming artists and labels, and is driven by the enthusiasm of individuals who are just as inspired about promoting the music as they are by listening to it.

I found out about this one when Sven Cipido asked to join the EMUSIC mailing list on Yahoo Groups. Looks pretty good to me! This site is part of the emusic web ring, too.

This seems to be a rather new ezine. It has classifieds, a message board, news, song and album reviews, information and links to em record labels, and more. Article topics include: music business, hardware, software, general, and interviews. Based in the Netherlands.

Bill Binkelman runs the Wind and Wire site in conjunction with his radio show of the same name. You'll find lots of CD reviews at this site. Bill is opinionated, but has good taste (imho) and can guide you to some really great releases. Never heard of an artist? Check out Bill's reviews and you're likely to find some information about that unknown artist.

The Ambient Review

Brian Bieniowski's webzine is updated regularly with in-depth reviews covering the latest ambient/electronic sounds.

Vital is a review site by the good folks at Staalplaat in the Netherlands. It is an interesting webzine which is read by mostly lovers of more experimental music.

Synthtopia is a portal devoted to electronic music, created to cover all aspects of electronica; trance, classical electronic music, dance, or synthesizers, hardcore electronica, pop electronica, dark ambient, chillout. Here's what you can expect from Synthtopia in the future: Electronica News, Free headline syndication, Music reviews, Instrument Reviews, Articles, Artists, and Site Reviews.

There isn't anything in the way of descriptions about this magazine at their site, but they seem to have interviews, label profiles, reviews, commentary, and critiques,

is editor Bradford Warner's vehicle for diseminating information about "new instrumental music."
